The Firm congratulates Associate Oliver J. Davis for receiving the 2013 MAC of the Year Award from the Men’s Arts Council (MAC) of Phoenix Art Museum.
The MAC of the Year Award is given to the most outstanding MAC member that exhibits the highest levels of involvement, attitude, and dedication to MAC and the Phoenix Art Museum. Mr. Davis has been a member of MAC for two years and received the award by unanimous vote.
MAC was founded in January of 1967 to support the Museum’s programs and activities. MAC organizes four distinctively different annual events: The West Select Sale & Exhibition (a western art invitational sale and exhibition); the Copperstate 1000 Vintage Car Road Rally (one of the premier vintage car road rallies in North America); the Southwest Double Gun Expo (Arizona’s premier double gun shooting event), and Ripe (a culinary event honoring five of the top chefs in Phoenix).
MAC’s efforts enable the group to make annual contributions to the Museum’s operating budget, to financially sponsor exhibitions and to fund two separate endowments: the Western American Art Endowment Fund and the MAC Sculpture Endowment. These endowments exist to fund art acquisition for the Museum’s collection and to foster art education. As of 2012, MAC’s cumulative financial contribution to the Museum exceeded $9 million.
The Firm has supported MAC and the Museum for many years, with five of its attorneys serving as current members.
