Matthew Adler joined May, Potenza, Baran & Gillespie in September 2025. Prior to his start at the firm, Matthew clerked for Justice John R. Lopez IV of the Arizona Supreme Court, as well as Judge John J. Tuchi of the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. While a student at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Matthew participated in the Civil Litigation Clinic and received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers Award for Outstanding Trial Advocacy and Clinical Work. Matthew also served as a managing editor of ASU’s flagship legal publication, the Arizona State Law Journal.

A native of Phoenix, Matthew is passionate about all things related to Arizona.  After serving in the United States Peace Corps in Namibia from 2018 to 2020, Matthew returned to his hometown of Phoenix. Matthew’s wide-ranging interests and robust judicial experience permit him to effectively represent clients in all manner of practice areas and procedural postures.
