Phil Wilson is experienced in tax controversy matters, specializing in cases involving undeclared foreign bank accounts and other financial assets, and unreported foreign income. Phil’s expertise in this area is augmented by his ability to speak French, Italian and Spanish. He has represented clients in the defense of federal criminal tax offenses at the investigatory, grand jury and trial levels in cases involving tax evasion, willful failure to file, and conspiracy to commit tax evasion. Phil has extensive experience in all aspects of civil tax litigation including but not limited to offshore voluntary disclosures, federal and state audit representations, federal and state tax collections, refund claims, penalty abatements, employment tax matters, excise tax matters, trust fund recovery penalty defense, and multi-state double taxation relief. Mr. Wilson has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the Board of Legal Specialization’s Tax Law Advisory Commission.
