We’re honored to host two incredible artists this installation: Mixed Media Artist, Aileen Martinez, and Photographer Eric Gebhard. All sales are between purchaser and artist. Please contact the respective artist for more information per piece.
Aileen Martinez is a Phoenix-based, Chicana artist who creates colorful drawings of places around the Valley and the City of Phoenix. The artist chooses to work in social spaces such as cafes and restaurants. These locations act as her public studio. She also works with the public to make special commissions, drawing people’s homes and places that they find special and dear.

Eric Gebhard lives in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife and their three cats. In addition to being a photographer, Eric is an avid scuba diver and cyclist. He and his wife enjoy traveling internationally, scuba diving, and simply getting out and enjoying nature. Since 1970, he has been fascinated by all types of photography, above and below water. Eric focused primarily on international travel photography until 2020 when COVID hit and international travel became impossible. COVID opened his eyes to the incredible beauty closer to home in AZ and the Southwest.

Lighting Over Four Peaks Wilderness, 2020

The power of mother nature displayed in all its glory as lightning from a summer monsoon storm strikes over Four Peaks Wilderness just east of Phoenix. To capture this image I set the camera to take a series of 30 second exposures. This allowed me to increase the odds of capturing a bolt of lightning.

Glowing Wall in the Narrows, 2020

The walls of The Narrows glow from the sun light as the Virgin Rivers flows through. This photo was taken in November 2020 on our very first hike through the slot canyon formed by the Virgin River called “The Narrows” in Zion National Park.

Kanarra Falls Ladder, 2020

We hiked through the icy waters of the slot canyon formed by Kanarra creek to reach this homemade log ladder which leads from the lower to the upper falls. Sadly, this wood ladder no longer exists. Flooding washed away the ladder which has now been replaced by a metal one.

A6M5 Zero Wreck, 2012

The wreckage of a Japanese A6M5 Zero fighter plane laying upside down in the waters of Palau. This airplane was likely shot down during the battle of Peleliu during World War II. This particular aircraft has special meaning to me. In the early 1990’s my father was part of a team who attempted to recover this airplane for restoration. Due to many factors, the plane was not recovered and still sits in about 60 feet of water in Palau, a small nation in the South Pacific. During a trip to Palau in 2012 this aircraft was located again and I was able to take this image. Because this was a historic aircraft, I felt that printing it as black and white helped capture its historic nature.

Lone Mesquite, 2021

A lone mesquite stands atop a hill in southern Arizona. During the exceptionally wet monsoon season of 2021, Southern Arizona erupted in an unbelievable carpet of green. This lone mesquite was captured backlit by the setting sun during a rare break in the storm clouds of a monsoon storm.

Milky Way Rising Over a Barn, 2019

Milky Way rising over a historic Flagstaff barn. This a composite of two images taken about 2 hours apart at the exact same spot. The first image was taken in the last light of the evening. The second one was taken a couple of hours later when the sky was dark enough for the stars to shine bright. It is absolutely amazing the number of stars visible in the night sky in Flagstaff. Flagstaff is one of the few places in Arizona designated as a Dark Sky location.

Pinyon Pine in Zion National Park, 2020

A pinyon pine tree grows in the cliffs above a slot canyon in Zion National Park. This pinyon pine managed to take hold in a tiny crack in the vertical sandstone cliffs of a slot canyon along Pine Creek.

Storm Passing the Birthing Cave, 2019

An early morning storm passed south of the Birthing Cave in Sedona, Arizona. In late 2019 I spent a couple of days in Sedona to explore some areas I have never been. On my last morning, before sunrise, I hiked out to a spot known as the Birthing Cave. It is not really a cave but more of an indentation in the rocks. As I was setting my camera up, a storm began to develop. When I made it back home, I found that one of the frames had captured a lightning bolt from the storm.

A snow-covered sandstone peak in Zion National Park, Utah. On one of our camping trips to Zion National Park, a rare evening snowstorm came through and left a beautiful blanket of snow throughout the canyon. Knowing the snow would quickly melt, we got up early the next day and headed up through the canyon capturing images as we went.

Saguaro Flowers at Sunrise in the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix, Arizona. Saguaro flowers only open at night and then quickly fade away the next day. The best time capture them is first thing in the morning. To get this picture I got up early and drove to the Superstition Mountains every day for about a week to finally catch the flowers blooming and the right lighting.

A saguaro stands ready for a new day as the sun rises over the Superstition Mountains. I took this image just before Christmas in 2019. While driving out to the Superstition Mountains early in the morning I almost turned back because I didn’t think that the clouds were right for a good sunrise. Thankfully, I kept going and was treated to one of the most spectacular sunrises I have ever seen.
