The Firm recently welcomed Elizabeth May and Ryan Beachum to its Summer Associate Program. The Firm uses the Program as an opportunity to introduce accomplished third year law students to the practice by assigning challenging projects and allowing for direct participation in client meetings; observation of depositions, hearings, and mediations; and drafting of memos, briefs and pleadings.
Here’ s a little background about each of our Summer Associates.
Elizabeth May
Elizabeth attends the James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communications. Last summer, Elizabeth externed for the Hon. Judge Collins at the Federal Bankruptcy Court and for the Hon. Judge McNamee at the Federal District Court. As a former Teach for America teacher and current member of the University of Arizona’s IP & Entrepreneurship Clinic, Elizabeth is interested in education and trademark law.
Ryan Beachum
Ryan also attends James E. Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona. Prior to law school, Ryan graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. Last summer, Ryan externed at the Arizona Secretary of State’s office, working closely with the State Election Director to help prepare for the 2016 election cycle. Ryan is a writer and editor for the Arizona Law Review and is interested in corporate law.
